With a prepaid SIM card from Ortel Mobile, you can browse the internet, text and make calls on your mobile phone at low rates – and all without any long-term contract commitment. That means: Everything is very flexible. For example, you can easily book tariffs or remove them again. And what if you want to pause your prepaid card or stop using it altogether? No problem: You simply pay nothing more. With Ortel Mobile SIM cards you have no permanent obligations – but you always have full control.

- You are buying an Ortel Mobile SIM card.
- You top up the card with credit – starting credit may also included, depending on the deal.
- You book what you need. For example, the Internet Flat or World+ option.
- Good to know: Even if your credit is used up, you’ll still receive calls and text messages from others. However, placing calls, sending SMS messages, and internet access will be unavailable to you until you top up your credit.

We offer particularly affordable prepaid cards for those who have many contacts abroad. With Ortel Mobile you can, for example, make inexpensive calls to over 200 countries or browse the internet in Germany and other EU countries using a mobile flat rate. All without a contract.
Ortel Mobile has been a subsidiary of Telefónica Deutschland since 2017. In contrast to O2, for example, Ortel Mobile does not rely on mobile phone packages consisting of a mobile phone and a mobile phone tariff, but simply offers you cheap prepaid tariffs. As a “multi-brand company”, we have been selling the blauworld brand in addition to the core brand Ortel Mobile since September 2013. Ortel Mobile is managed by managing directors Stefan Borgschulte, Gregor Fränzel and Thorsten Wagner.
Ortel Mobile is a so-called Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO). As an MVNO and subsidiary of Telefónica Deutschland, we use network capacities provided by our parent company. The operator of the network in which you make calls and browse the internet is therefore not Ortel Mobile; the network operator is Telefónica Deutschland. For you as an Ortel Mobile customer this means: You not only benefit from economical prepaid tariffs. Rather, you browse the internet and make calls on a high-performance network that consistently receives top marks in tests conducted by independent comparison organisations.

Sustainability
Less plastic – more environmentally friendly products: We support the idea of sustainability and have already implemented a whole range of measures to promote environmental and climate protection.
Half-SIM and SIM packs made of recycled paper
We are continuously reducing our plastic consumption. An important step towards this is the redesign of the SIM card holder in the half SIM format. This means it is now only half as big as it used to be, which will allow us to save several tons of plastic in the long term. Also with sustainability in mind, the packaging used for SIM packs will gradually be changed to envelopes made from 100 percent recycled paper.
Promotional items made from sustainable materials
We also use sustainable materials for our promotional items and giveaways. Posters and flyers are made from FSC® Mix material, ballpoint pens from bio-based plastic, and plastic carrier bags and much more besides from recycled plastic that is certified with the Blue Angel environmental label. In addition, we support the bee project beeswe.love and in doing so make an important contribution to the preservation of bee colonies.

Your advantages at Ortel Mobile
With a prepaid SIM card from Ortel you can use your mobile phone to make and receive calls and surf abroad flexibly and cheaply - and with no long-term contractual obligation. In addition, you benefit from various advantages of cheaper prepaid rates and a variety of different options. We have the right rate for everyone.
Prepaid means paying in advance. You purchase a SIM card, which you top up with credit. Then you can book a suitable option from our large selection on your card. Calls and SMS will only be blocked once you have depleted your credit. However, you will still be reachable.
You do not have to sign a long-term contract. To phone with Ortel, all you need is a mobile phone without a SIM lock. You can order your SIM card online for free or with your starting credit.
You can change your Ortel tariff flexibly every month. With Ortel you always are in full control over your mobile phone and telephone expenses.
Since there is no basic tariff yet, there are no additional costs with an Ortel prepaid card. There is no unpleasant surprise when checking the telephone bill.
Ortel also offers flexible tariffs for smartphone users. Internet flat rates for mobile surfing can be booked as an option - monthly and hassle-free. The good thing is that you can cancel these rates on a monthly basis. If you expect high Internet consumption in the next month or know that you will be travelling a lot, we offer you a one-off booking option.
