The Gallery ŻAK | BRANICKA was founded in 2008 by Monika Branicka, a critic and art historian, and Asia Żak Persons, an artist, and is located on Lindenstr. 35 in Berlin’s Kreuzberg district. ŻAK | BRANICKA strives towards eliminating the gap between eastern and western Europe by integrating eastern European (primarily Polish) artist into the West and united the two fronts. Based in Germany’s capital Berlin, the gallery also promotes the unique development of eastern contemporary art as well as provides a platform for the world’s eastward shifting focus. With a program strongly focused on the heritage of avant-garde, constructivism, performance and video art ŻAK | BRANICKA holds a coherent selection of artist.
