A German mechatronic student has developed this cover that opens like an air bag if your mobile phone falls down. The mobile phone cover uses sensors to detect if the phone is in your hand, your pocket, purse or in free fall. If it falls down, the AD case is protected by eight hook-shaped wings that pop out at the four corners of the shell and cushion the impact. Here you can see how it works. The cover will be available on the market as from December 2018.
