Aspei is an association of artists and writers that promotes the cultural exchange of literature and art between the East and the West. This takes the form of lively dialogue, the organisation of art exhibitions and book fairs, readings, lectures, concerts, performances etc., and of the publication of literary works and art catalogues. Aspei has existed as an informal group since the mid-1980s.
