The "Donau" German-Bulgarian Society of North Rhine-Westphalia e.V. was founded in Summer 2010. The aim and purpose of the society is the support of German-Bulgarian cultural exchange among Bulgarian citizens living in Düsseldorf, as well as between them and people of all other nationalities living in the Federal Republic of Germany. By organising and holding events with inter-cultural and international focal points, such as e.g. Dance events, movie screenings and art exhibitions, German-Bulgarian relations should be intensified and deepened on a cultural, scientific and economic level.
