The Polish School Association "Oświata" was founded in 1895 in Berlin. The statutory task of the Polish School Association “Oświata” consists in teaching the Polish language to children and adolescents in Berlin. By teaching the Polish language, as well as holding educational and cultural events, the association maintains its culture and traditions of the country of origin. The activities of the association allow the Polish-born Berliners to keep in touch with their home country. “Oświata” offers children of Polish-speaking families the opportunity to get to know the country of origin of their parents and to identify with it.
