The objective of the Arab Filmclub is to subtitle Arabic language films in German either in tandem or in teams of Arabic and German native speakers and to use the demanding and intensive study of the two languages to improve refugees’ understanding of German, i.e. by learning German without textbooks on a practical, cooperative basis using authentic material, in a fun environment.
